Who needs a boat?
Last week I was whining that all of my boat owning buddies were busy or had repairs ongoing. Well I went this week on my one day a week only to watch the bank fisherman catch more (more.. heck at least they caught fish)than any boat out where we were there were no fish checked (by boat)at Rainier when we left at 2:45. We were fishing below the longview bridge on the OR side. so anyone that read the S.m.g.s post earlier can believe it.
The day was spent trolling until the tide started to run out then we anchored in 15 Ft of water thinking that we were close enough(but still far away enough to not get hit with lead) and shallow enough but alas we were not all we came up with were a couple of jacks. we threw almost everything at them Kwikys herring spinners spin'n'glows wiggle warts.
so the next time you think those boat guys catch all the fish think twice
