Default Source for 24k gold plate spoons?

Hi, yes I'm new; I am looking forward to chatting with you all! I am looking for a source of 24k gold plated casting spoons. I have been reading about them in magazines but I don't recall ever seeing any for sale. Can anyone help me out?

Welcome to Ifish Fishpharmie. You could be just what we needed - a fishing pharmicist . Maybe you aren't allowed to give chemical advice, but I would like your opinion about some connected to egg curing if you are able to. I know that FDA food grade sodium sulfite is better than photo supply powdered versions for egg cures (most SS you find in tackle shops is the cheaper photo supply stuff). Same with coming up with FDA grade sodium nitrates at a few willing meat processing plants. What is the differences? And how can the fish tell (there's a tough one for you, or anybody; because we aren't fish). Oh ya, why do fish like WD40? ... Bet you didn't expect some tough Q's right out of the gate, huh? If you don't know, don't go out of your way trying to find out. Just knowing what's best for egg cures is the important thing. - RT

Sounds like you need some MorTac spoons.

Since Mortac only has the one style of spoon depending upon what you are looking for, you might want to check out Gibbs/Nortac. They make about every kind of spoon - elongated, teardrop, classic, oval - all of them are available in silver and 24k gold.

If what you want is not on the webpage, drop them an email and they will send you their products via email or snail mail.

Webpage is www.gibbsfishing.com

I am not sure how it would work, but car dealers have people that gold plate the nameplates on new cars. They do it right on the lot. I know a girl that does this at our dealerships and can check with her on the feasibility of this if you are interested. This would allow you to pick your favorite style of spoon and have it gold plated.
