Awesome stuff ******! The spiral is the ticket. The laker roll is good but when I get it that slow it wants to stop. Just imagine what you could learn if you had the "bait cam" on your boat.

I'd fish with either one. The ultimate roll for me is one that hesitates and then kinda flips. Fishing with a herring is relatively new for me, along with any idea af a roll or spin. When fishing the ocean back home, I try and get the anchovy to travel through the water as straight as possible and let the dodger provide a back and forth motion. If the anchovy spinned or rolled it would be replaced. I would guess with 10 different fisher-people, you would probably get 10 different "ultimate rolls".....
