Default Bait wrapped K-fish

With NO herring to be found anywhere, we rigged up with bait wrapped kwik fish and landed 2 fish in two trips. We were near Gilbert launch in St. Helens area. I am a big beleiver in Kwik fish. My buddy got me hooked on them 2 years ago and they seem to always catch fish. Unless you have a secret stash of herring, you may want to give it a try!

Fishlipz, how fast do you troll (I'm assuming you were trolling) with the kwik fish compared to just trolling herring? Care to share the color?

We were trolling about the same speed as if trolling herring. Both fish were caught trolling down stream so the speed was a little faster. I use silver with chartuese tail.Make sure you bait wrap!! Good luck

SWEET! Thanks fishlipz, and congrats on nailin' the springers! Even though it's supposed to be a HUGE run this year, it doesn't seem they are jumping in the boats yet. You're one of the lucky few.

Fishlipz thanks for the info. Your detailed info was refreshing to see. I went out on sunday at the head of the Multnomah channel and saw about 50 boats and only one fish landed all morning. Right after that fish was hauled in I got a real good bite that took half of my herring and missed the trailer hook. Anyway thanks again and keep up the good fishing............Fishhead Vic
