Default hello. new onboard

Howdy, been reading this board for a year now and must say I have gotten a lot of good advice, mainly concerning chinook pursuit. Last year was my first successful nookie year, caught 3. As I don't YET have a boat I have been somewhat limited but this year I might get a boat. I am a little confused about the Regs. this year. Is the columbia open up till march 31 for unclipped chinook and clipped coho? Then after march 31 is the main river even open for salmon fishing? I will be fishing from the Oregon side. We fished out of Freds last year and stayed in the Mult. channel Willamete river area. I would like to fish the main river if possible. Any clarification would be appreciated. I plan on springering this sunday, probably from Freds.
Thanx

fishhuntr- Welcome to the board as it's always good to finally meet some of the lurkers out there. If you don't have time for someone to post an answer, look back a couple of pages on the board under a post called "confusion" I think was the name of it, or use the nifty search feature and use the words "regs. or regulations, etc."
Glad to hear about your success and this board has really helped me out. You'll probably make a few friends as well, and maybe one will have a boat. Good Luck with future excursions.

Hey bro, welcome. Great handle. These guys know fish. I'm kinda new here myself. Been in sponge mode getting lots of great tech info on rigging and boats. Finally got my 1st jet boat in Feb. Had been mooching rides for years with some great fishermen, it was fun, but it rocks to be doing my own thing finally. Found any good Elk sheds yet?

Hi there and welcome!

I think for every sponge mode you are in you should contribute one. That way, we can all be contributing sponges!

Fish Hunter,
Welcome, glad to see you step up and participate. You will learn lots, meet some great people and have some fun. I know I have. Currently trading barbs with Bait-O-Eggs, a new friend who I met through this board, its great fun slamming each other from time to time as we post.
