Great Spincast for kids

Since my son was old enough to cast a pole he has burnt up a few spincast reels on Steelhead. Now that he is five I have found a great Spincast for Coho and Steelhead. The Shakespeare Synergy Steel 4002 Ti is great. This reel takes 90 yds of 20 lb test. I sure wish I could have had one of these when I was Steelheadin in the begining. The cost $ 20.00 through Cabelas.

Hey Shannon, you have it all wrong. Now that I have an ex instead of a wife, I can do this now. You take the rod you fish with now, and give it to the kids. Then YOU buy YOURSELF a brand new Loomis with nice reel. Then they have a quality rod (that you can use as a backup) and you have a nice new rod to use.

But, on the serious note, that's a good tip. Right now I have my two kids using some of my older rods, but they're worth some money and I hate letting them use them at times. My son is 4 and daughter is 6 so they can be brutal on rods. I may have to order a couple for them. Thanks!!!!

Hell ya. Don't think for a moment I look forward to helping the child play the fish! Of course I do. It is pretty exciting to actual look forward to buying him quality equiptment. Your absolutely right about the Loomis deal. Thats in the works.
