Default Laptop keybaord key pad help please

So when I was out running erands, Janey decided my laptop keybaord needed cleaning.

Result is one of the plastic key covers came off and for the life of me I can figure out the trick to getting it back on.

Anybody have any experience with this?

thanks

It should just snap back on, thats my experience. I remember it didnt look like it would, but its still on there! I had to align it just right, slide up a bit, and snap, I did have to apply a lot of pressure to snap it.

I had a few get torn off, and if you place the little spring wires back in place and with a little force it will pop back on. Yes, you will have to align it right and such, but like said befors e by kevinsdriftboat, it may seem like it will not go back on, but it will!.............. just dont break it!!

when we lost one off our dell laptop we had to get a new keybord from dell cause the clip had broken that holds the keys on luckly it is still under the protection thing we got and it was free. Dells have a real problem with the keys falling off if it is a dell call them maybe they will do something for you. rp

Swap you ... you give me your egg recipes and I will put that key back on for ya' .

Should snap in.. but takes some aligning.. there should be a spring.. could be built in.. or discrete. if it is .. rip one of the other key that you don't use much like the "admin alert" button , and use its parts.

Be very very careful if you decide to take the kb out for any reason. The connectors on the motherboard are hard to get to if you pull the harness out.. and they are a bear to get back in without breaking something.

Please send 20$ in care of ifish technical support to Roy , he is starting up a new computer support business and I am his low cost geography support person
