Default Trailer Brake Service?

Does anyone know of a shop in East County who works on traler/surge brake systems?

Thanks

What's the issue with the brakes? These are really pretty simple critters.

I just want them checked out, the system bled, pads replaced if necessary, etc. Just being lazy I guess. I'll likely jack the thing up and do it all myself.

Schwab should be able to do it if you don't want to do it yourself.

You probably already know how, but if you haven't done so, it would be a good time to take apart the wheel bearings, repack, and make sure you have a spare.

The lazy way out if the shoes are indeed wore out would be to disconnect the brake line and remove 4 bolts holding the backing plate/brake shoe assembly onto the axle. This assembly is already to bolt on and then adjust the shoes to your drum. The assembly costs about $ 40 per side. I got mine from 6 Roblee's in Milwaukie. If you do much salt water, You might consider a flush kit, which is also very easy to install. You can come by my place to see how i did mine since we're in the same neck of the woods.
