Me too! Fresh springer out of the lower Columbia - mmmmmmmmmmm - yum! That one in the pic looks like it made it into a gillnet mesh and got back out or thru it, judging by the verticle lines on it's side. .... The big run is about to happen soon! Yeehaw
Definitly looks like a gillnet survivor. Like RT said, the vertical marks, and the cut just above the tail on the left side is pretty convincing. Tail cut could possibly be a seal claw cut though. Damn nice fish!!!! If we had a drooling icon I would use it now!

Hey Jen Thanks for the picture post. Wish I had the tech to do my own. The lucky angler wa Rex Beach. We fished the Col near Clifton Bradwood below Puget Isl. Whole herring 12 feet of water. Thats enough info.I plan to fish that area a lot this month and next. Yeah it was net marked, seal bit and succumbed to the hook. Hooooh Waaahhh! I did tell him to hold it out a little but it was an honest 25#. I would not fib as I am a guide! Really! I did wonder how a fish that size wiggled through a gillnet though. See you all on the river.
