Co-moderator Anouncement

I've made another request for help with the BB moderating. Because this site has grown way big, with a page full of threads per day, and many replies within each (in fact look at how many double figure thread replies there are, with the 'on fire' envelope figure off to the side of threads); I need help with moderating it all. I have not been getting my book or other projects done partly due to the increased traffic on the ifish BB. This is a good and fun thing, but we are overdue for co-moderators. I'm so glad that Jen, Bill, and I agreed that our "Bigstew" (Shane Stewart) is a great guy, knowledgable fisherman, and fair minded good guy! Welcome Bigstew ('Stew - as some of us call him) as my cohort on the Ifish BB. Thanks for joining in to help out Shane. ...

I will still be on quite a bit, but not as much, as I complete some projects. If you ask me a direct question I will usually catch it and answer, as normal. But if there isn't a reply from me it's because I didn't see it. 'Stew or you can alert me I missed one via my e-mail icon above any of my posts. I will be changing to AT&T Broadband cable net access in the near future, to be a little more that Almost On Line (AOL). I will post my new e-mail address when that occurs. Thanks for the confidence Jennie and Steve. I've made alot of good friends on this board and have had a great time on this board. We have a real good thing here and we're are lucky. Jennie and RT have worked extremely hard to make this board and ifish what it is. All you have to do is visit some of the other boards to see what I mean. Feel free to email me anytime.

Hey RT, after 2500+ posts and I'm sure countless hours reading posts, I think we all can appriciate your position of needing more time for other things. Thanks. I'm sure Stew will uphold the standards you and Jennie have set so well.

Thanks for stepping up BigStew. I know it has to be somewhat ominous given this rapidly growing cast of characters!

'STEW' Congrats on your new 'forum guide' positon. It is a tough job to inspire, quil, referee and moderate the variety of personalities that post on this BB. As is part of human nature, often the questionable and more inflammatory posts create more interest and illicit more reponse.

(I.e.), the "angie" post where everyone hates her,we make rather vulgar statements regarding her, we say "don't patronize her",...... and then, we hit her site 1200 times and make a 2 page thread in a 18 hour period, solely about her! (I'm not complaining, I think it's interesting)

Many inflammatory statements, a little
slander, bit of profanity, some hey-y'alisms......do you edit the comments? ....probably not. But, it is a good example of how tough moderating can be. Judgement calls left and right...and you'll take heat,. either way

With all this in mind, I wish you good luck. I appreciate your efforts to keep this boat planed out!

PS There is a really bad man on the 'angie' thread, right now, saying the '*****' word, over and over, again. Get that bad man!!!
