Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
We'll have a booth at the tradeshow.....will be selling mostly a kit which will have:
- two sizes of Tunabites swimbaits (casting & trolling)
- a variety of colors (including plenty of the best patterns last year)
- 3 sizes of jigheads (casting & trolling)
All in a nice Plano box, at a "convention special price" (about 25% off the normal price).
If you have any special requests please send me a pm.
See you at the booth!
edit (1) - the kits shown, in the 3600 size box, are $40 if bought or ordered at the convention. Shipping for that kit is $5.
edit (2) - If you want more jigheads than the 10 I put in the kit, you may purchase them from Marty. He will be at the booth with me with bulk packages of jigheads.
I still have yet to determine the contents (and therefore the price) on the larger 3700 box. It will probably be between 60. and 70. Shipping the larger kit would be a bit more because that box will not fit in a priority mail envelope package. So talk to me / email off line to discuss shipping options for larger quantities.

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Hhhmm.....the "pro pack".....you mean the special ones that have my personal, uber-secret-weapon swimbaits, with extra mojo sprinkled on top?
OK Mikey, you got it!
HiTek, glad to do it for ya.
Thx,
Mark

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
The standard kit comes in a Plano 3600 size box. It has 16 large, and 24 medium swimbaits; jigheads - 2ea 3/4 oz, 4ea 1 oz, 4 ea 2 oz.
The (empty) 3700 size box is next to them. I still have to figure out how many lures & jigheads; probably about 50% more than the other kit.

Mark,
I will take a 3700 box as well. I won't be at the convention (fishing instead), but I can swing by - probably later next week?

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
I'm ignorant but are we talking about the portland sportsman show or some other show? oh wait, your talking about the salty dog convention. Can't make it there. How would we go about getting one of your kits if we can't make it to the show?

Put together a 3700 box for me and I will pick it up at the convention.
If for some reason that my plans change, you can mail it to me and I promise to sign the check this time

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Thank you all for the interest, and pre-orders. I wasn't anticipating this
I'll make a list of these pre-orders, and re-confirm shortly before the convention.
The kits shown in the photo above, in the 3600 size box, are $40 if bought or ordered at the convention. Shipping for that kit is $5.
I still have yet to determine the contents (and therefore the price) on the larger 3700 box. It will probably be between 60. and 70. Shipping the larger kit would be a bit more because that box will not fit in a priority mail envelope package. So talk to me / email off line to discuss shipping options for larger quantities.

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
MarkMc If you ommited the plano boxes and just put everything in a ziplock you could fit it in a flat rate box regardless of weight and ship for about $8. Just an FYI

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Mark,
I'll take a pro pack as well. Not sure if I'm going to be able to go to the convention, so I may need to have it shipped. Let me know when the pricing is done.
P.S.: What is that picture in your avatar? The grim reaper?

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
I am glad I got mine early. Sounds like you are going to be busy selling lots of swimbaits. I am very impressed with the selection and price I got. I really like the sample clone you sent. I would like to pick up some more of those sometime. I really recommend Mark and his swimbaits. Definately a pleasure to do buisiness with.

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Todd, that's an "artist's rendition" of Capt Ahab.
Flap, good thinking there. I have tested the various options of packaging. I do just as you suggest....packing lures in zip-locks into the priority mail envelopes and boxes.
With the envelope, I can cram up to about $50 worth of swimbaits. Above that, and it has to go in the $8 box, which I prefer to avoid unless the box is truly filled.
In a test, the 3600 box will indeed fit in the envelope  although it's a tight squeeze. It will most certainly need a bunch of tape to ensure it doesn't bust.
edit: fishindude, you are too kind. I hope I can live up to that.

Please build me a 3700, Mark, except triple the jigheads. You should include superglue with the Pro-packs!

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Mark, all I can promise is that I'll avoid shop talk at the convention - that's the easy part. But avoiding fish talk at the other - not so easy. I will try to maintain self control for the greater good.

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
A clarification:
If you want more jigheads than the 10 I put in the kit, you may purchase them from Marty. He will be at the booth with me with bulk packages of jigheads.
Please contact him directly (ifish name is Marty ) if you have any questions about bulk packs of jigheads.

Re: Tunabites at Convention Trade Show
Thanks again folks for all the pre-orders.
I need to tell you one thing.....We have focused most of our inventory on the $40 kits (3600 box). Based on the input so far, I am at the limit for any more 3700 box kits. For convention pick-ups, I have plenty more 3600 boxes.
If you simply wanted more lures, and don't care so much about the 3700 box, it would be easier for me to:
1) sell you the 3600 kit, plus a zip-lock bag with another 10. or 20. worth of lures; OR
2) ship you the same (larger) amount of lures in a soft-pack, sometime after the convention.
Thanks for the interest, and for the understanding.
- Mark
