Default Ochoco

I like to make at least one trip in the winter to Ochoco Res.
Does anyone have a report ? is the water level up or down ? Lake Frooze over or what ?

Haystack can be good this time of year also. Any reports there ?

Thanks

Looks like the lake is at 45%. I think thats better than the last few years. I doubt there is ice. It's usually a bank show this time of year. I go the end of May and do well trolling. Last year the trout were big. All 15 to 18 inches. Let us know how you do.
Here is a link for water levels link

I was up there last Sunday. The lake is open, and the boat ramp is usable (kind of) I was the only one out. Only 3 hits, but none that stayed stuck. I'll be back up this Saturday.

the waters is just short of the boat ramp. The bite has turned down a bit because of cold water im assuming. Fishing had been real good up until about 3 weeks ago. I may give it a shot on sunday!

Sorry about the double post. The water is up on the ramp now, and it is useable. I could launch my 19' BlueWater last Sunday, but just barely. Shouldn't be a problem by this weekend. Try pulling green weddingrings tipped with cocktail shrimp. Watch out, lots of junk in the water.
