What days is the Cowlitz open for smelt and how do you know when you have your 10lb limit?

Tanner,
Wed, Sat and Sunday are the days that the Cowlitz is open. You know you have around 10lbs when your 5gal bucket is about 1/4 way full.. Enjoy

Wednesday is also open. If you have a boat, you can also dip the Columbia in that area. My girfried, I, and her three kids did that on Saturday. We launcHed from OR so the Columbia smelt limit was 25lbs. Between what we got in the lower Cowlets, and what we got on the Columbia, we legally came away with 83 lbs in a couple of hours. They are in THICK!
