Default An awsome guide - check him out

I know there are many steelheaders out there like me...we pound the bank and do our share of "catching" However, if you are looking for a FIRST CLASS STEELHEAD CATCHING EXPERIENCE, do yourself a favor and contact Jim Amick at Amick's Guide Service out of Tillamook.

I will leave it up toJim to tell you where...but my son and son-in-law and I went 3 for 9 with Jim on Saturday. He put us on fish...we just kept losing them...soft bites all. Mine was a fresh 15lb buck that all but broke my arm.

I can't seem to get a picture to upload...but call Jim if you want to have a great time...and...catch fish!

The Ifish Top Guides are also excellent. And they support Ifish. There are many good guides - I like the ones that help this site.

Ifish is great guys, but please... There are many other guides out there outside Ifish.

Not everyone will fall into Ifish, just the way it works.

I've fished with several of the guides that are Ifish sponsors and they are all pros. One that shall remain unnamed called off a steelhead trip due to a little 10' plus rise in the river level, in about 6 hrs  I'd like to re book with him someday.

PS:
I forgot to mention the 50-60 mph breeze that came with the rain.

Guitgary,

Glad to hear you had a great day with Jim. He is a very nice guy. He also catches plenty of fish.

Pete, why the editorializing? I agree that the ifish guides are top notch and removing contact info is appropriate but wouldn't ifish be better served by leaving it at that?

Guitgary:
Glad you had a good trip with a local guide. I hope that many of your friends and their friends have good trips with him as well.

Ty:
"There are many other guides out there outside Ifish". Yes, but you're posting on Ifish, not somewhere else. Please take a moment to reread the AUP.

RichH:
I'm sure Jim is a fine guide. I'm not privvy to what editorializing may have occurred. As far as I'm concerned, this thread is being handled appropriately.
