FMS Lean Selection
I went into Oregon City FMS today to get a little TUNA! gear fix. Looked for 80# Izorline - no dice. Looked for 80# any other line - no dice except Maxima bulk. Looked for some crimpers - struck out again. OK, how about some good barrel swivels - nada. I sure hope they stock up before June. I guess I'll just have to wait to go to Englund's during the SD convention.

Re: FMS Lean Selection
If you need some 2/0 barrel swivels I may have a few extra thousand or so part with if you're in dire need.

Re: FMS Lean Selection
Thanks, MM. I'll let you know. I was looking for 4/0 for hand line rigs. I'll probably just wait and go to Englund's. I need crimpers, springs, all that HOGGEMIN hardware.

Kerry, it is January bro. Give it some time and I am sure they will stock up to some of your needs.

But be aware that they do not buy enough TUNA gear and what they do stock is limited and it flies out the door
I am disapointed in FMS as they rarely have what I am looking for and if they do have it they don't have enough

Re: FMS Lean Selection
One store I know that is just as close as your porch is the charkbait place. They usually have it and the small brown box is at the door soon enough.
Hey they stock tuna stuff yearround as well as all fishing stuff. Mark

Bernie, I know. It's nearly half way between the end of last season and the beginning of next. There's much to do to prepare.
Hoggemin - I'll send you a list.

Re: FMS Lean Selection
Actually I am please that FM has started to step up to the plate and carry tuna gear as just two seasons ago they had NOTHING!. Now at least Dan has seen the light and that tuna off the Oregon Coast is the real deal and he started carrying a little better selection of gear for us flatlanders. Critisize if you will but carrying stuff that usually is sold only for a few months is pretty gutsy in the retail business. I think as people start asking for certain things they will carry more of it. You only have to start badgering them each trip to the store and I think they will get the point. I am sure you can order some of these items from them too.
They ain't perfect but their selection is better than any other competitor around here that carry only a couple of clones and maybe a few handlines and snubbers.

Re: FMS Lean Selection
I'm just anxious to get set up with all the toys so I have something that will exercise the tunal lobe of my brain during the off season. I agree that they usually have more than anyone else locally.
