I fished the willy today, we couldn't get out until late in the afternoon and only fished for about 3 hours . all in all we had constant shaker action and located a million fish but could not hook any keepers?

allot of nice shakers with the biggest in the 35-40 inch range. however we paid no attention to tides and just wanted to go :grin: . the bait of choice was smelt with Maries sturgeon scent on a piece of wool above the smelt . it was like T.N.T the shakers just wouldn't leave it alone. we moved 3 times all with the same results. if you haven't fished Maries sturgeon scent yet try it out.

just to be clear I know that it is illegal to keep sturgeon on any other days then thur - sat. and had no intention of keeping any fish. I just mentioned that we did not get any keepers to give you a reference to the size of the fish we got :smile: :grin: .

Jeff it sounds like you need to move up in the hole. The bigger fish tend to be up front in the hole. I'm a ture beleaver that there is a pecking order among sturgeon.

Let me know if you need some smelt for Saturday. Hopefully you can get Lee out. I sent you a PM earlier today.
