Default White Salmon Springers?

I've heard the White salmon is good mid to end of April. I'm trying to set up that weekend to head West. Is this a good bet or is there a better spot close to the Dalles that I would have better success with. I love Tillamook but that's a long ways for us landlocked boys in Idaho. Thanks for the info.

Kris,
Drano Lake and the Wind River are both good for springers, just watch the dam numbers at Bonneville, and once they hit the the solid 5000 range for a week or so (about the middle of April last year) head over. It's a trolling game, Mag-Warts and prawn spinners are the ticket. Let me know when you decide to head over...

Hey TS it sounds like Mojo has got you dialed in. I live west of Ptld. but i fish up there a lot because the landscape is wonderful & the bite can be just as good some time. If you set a date, let me know, maybe i'll be there also-----More Ifishers on the water. jr
