Question Looking for best deal on Traeger grill...

Hi, All:
I am looking to acquire a "lil texas" Traeger grill. Could any of you current owners steer me toward a supplier that is close by (vanc, wa.)
and most importantly-I am looking for the best deal I can get!
Thanks in advance...
Kneedeep.

Hmm, I bought mine over a year ago and found only a couple of stores that sold them.

They seem to be more popular now. Here in the Salem area, Roth's sells them. They have a good selection of supplies too. They are selling the Lil Tex for less than what I paid, but maybe the prices have fallen overall.

Closer to you is a store in West Linn which is where I got mine. Not sure if they are cheaper though.

Of course there is always Ebay.

Sorry, probably not much help. Check Roth's though before you buy.

I've had mine for quite awhile now but I bought mine right at the factory in Mt. Angel. They use to give a discount to military personel. Last time I went up there to get pellets they had closed the factory store. However I found out that the cheapest place to by the pellets (trager) was at the hardware store in Mt. Angel. My guess that is also the cheapest place to buy a grill also however I have not priced them in quite awhile.

Fishermans marine carries them as well as Gartners meats on about 74th and Killingsworth.

Make the trip to the MtAngel hardware store. They make it worth the trip! On a pleasant day, it's also a pretty drive.

I am going to buy one and am watching this thread for advice.

Can you cook a brisket on one even if you get a good deal.

For those of you with Traeger's do you use their pellets or another brand?

I've read that their pellets are a blend and only 70% wood. If you want better smoke you need to go with a 100% pellet for better flavor.

I might be getting one soon because I know a guy that knows a guy but if I had the spare dough I'd go with the Big Green Egg. I cant find any negatives on those things!
