Default tube rig for steelhead

Walked into the bait shop to pick up some bugs but they were in sad shape. I looked around and saw some 1" tubes. Rigged up like this and caught a nine pound brat! Just thought to pass this along.

Cool, that looks good, Ive done the same thing with small hoochies, also you can jam some power bait in the head as well. Thanks for the pic.

I, also, have picked up winter fish with steelie tubes. I've been fishing the pink ones on a pink/white jig under a float with shrimp smelly jelly in the cavity. Love watching that bobber go down!! Dennis

Was plunkin' hookies and spin-glows back in the early 90's on the CR for steelhead. Razorback love up too, especially w/ a glow in teh dark Spin-glow.

Slabhunter,
what type of hook is that, is it made by gami or owner. I've never seen a blue octopus hook, they look cool.

It's a size 2 Gamakatsu. I believe the blue ones are out of production. The red ones work just as well.
