My question is, the early springers that I have been hearing about being caught, does anybody know if they are Clackamas fish or upriver Willamette fish? I hate to be fishing near the 205 bridge and find out later these early fish are turning up the Clackamas (just below where I am fishing). Any thought, theories or information would be appreciated.

Serious answer BOE... the fish will hang out in the Willamette untill they get the conditions they want and then either scoot over the falls or swim back up the Clack. It's early in the season for many hookups. I've only heard of maybe a few bites a day so far. It's late to have no fish over the falls already. I've known in past years for a few to be over by February 1.
