Yesterday and last nights load in and fire. The kiln went 9 hours with 6 potters work in it as well as fresh tuna and other fish. Mark

The salting in burner ports at 2300 degrees
fish and pots come out new years day

Here are the fish fresh from the salt kiln fire. One of these-most likely the top tuna will be a raffel prize at convention. The lower tuna had a few flaws -broken tail- eye stuck-had to jb weld tail back on. Mark

Looks like all the digital photos got toasted for some unknown reason- but I had some good old film in a camera and had a disc made so heres the load before and after and a table full of salt pots. Mark

It sure is mine. Its the only salt kiln I know in this county.Its in the side fiels away from things that rust, myself and a friend made it a few years back-early 2000's. I have 5 other kilns around as well. I learned kiln building back in the day. I have built them for others as well.
