Default Fresh Tuna yesterday on the North Coast- New-PHOTOS

Ok they are clay tuna formed yesterday. As usual I'm making some fish for the raffel at the Salty Dogs Convention-actually they are most likely for Hoggimin as he seems to have that raffel rigged. This is how they start a out as fry. This batch is for our annual salt fire (special kiln) this coming weekend. One is a deep water angler the pots are stoneware for the salt fire. Mark

Wow, that's got to be good for the soul

I need to find something to get the creative juices flowing this year. I really want to learn how to blow glass.

Here are the fish fresh from the salt kiln fire. One of these-most likely the top tuna will be a raffel prize at convention. The lower tuna had a few flaws -broken tail- eye stuck-had to jb weld tail back on. Mark

Calvin
It sure is mine. Its the only salt kiln I know in this county. Its in the side fiels away from things that rust, myself and a friend made it a few years back-early 2000's. I have 5 other kilns around as well. I learned kiln building back in the day. I have built them for others as well.
