Re: My bad Luck
Hey Jay, sometimes you hit the jackpot, sometimes you don't. Maybe you were meant to get a different, better boat. Let me tell you a story.
I had just divorced my ex (since meeting her I'd sold off my driftboat, lakeboat, and only kept my catarafts). I'd wanted to buy a sled (for all around use for whole family) but couldn't convince her it was worth it. On one of my routes (I'm a UPS driver) I'd been eyeing a small jet sled with a 75 horse evinrude. It was perfect boat for me. I ended up getting a divorce and didn't have alot of money (due to my ex embezzling it all before we seperated). Hence I was out of market to buy a decent sled. Well out of the blue one day a couple years back I had a delivery to the sled I'd been wanting for years and owner was home for a change. By this time I could tell it hadn't moved much and asked the homeowners if they ever used it. I'd been looking at sleds to buy, but all were out of my price range and was looking bleak, and ones I could afford were sold. Sure enough, the guy says "I just wanna get this thing out of my yard, I never use it and I'd sell it for $1500". I asked if he really wanted to sell it for that much, and he was serious. Sure enough I brought it home a couple days later. So, you see, you may miss out on a boat you like, but may find the boat you want around the next corner and it'll be one you really want. I still have mine in my garage. (I'm in process of completely reconditioning it).
Good luck, and just think that you passed it up for a better boat.
Jerry
