Default S.I. Water Levels...how's it looking?

I'm going to go out and hunt an area that floods up on the edge of Sturgeon Lake in the morning...

Just wondering how the water level's been looking out there in units affected by the tides in the past few days? Do you NEED boats on Mud Lake for instance?

Looking at the River Level Chart, it says the level's going to be 9+ feet towards noon...that's getting there!

How's it looked to anybody who's been out there lately?

Bill,

I'd assume you'll need a boat. I think 6 is considered marginal. 9+ isn't even close.

I was there on Sunday in the unit you will be hunting at the spot that you will be trying for (I'm guessing). It was marginal.

Thanks Geoff,

It's supposed to be 7.0' at 4 a.m. (St. Helens so there's a delay, probably closer to shooting time where we'll be) and go UP from there!

Yeah, a boat might not be a bad idea (I LIKE hunting out of the boat the best anyway that really catches 'em off guard )

BTW, how'd you guys do on Sunday?!!

Hope we're able to secure "the spot"!

If not, we'll still make an effort to put a dent in 'em anyway.

Good luck out there. Hope you nail them.

Hehe...thought the area looked "familiar", just wasn't sure...

Well...now I just have to repeat what you did out there (I did, last time I was there)

Yep, looks like I'd better go load up the boat.

Definite boat, Bill...the high tide today was at least a foot higher than predicted.
