Lamiglass Questions
I have always used Berckly IM-7s and after listning to you guys I thought I would step up and try a lamiglass. I noticed that the ones I saw didnt have the exposed blank through the reel seat, I think this helps in detecting light bites. Does lamiglass make one with the exposed blank or am I being to picky?

Re: Lamiglass Questions
Rogues have exposed reel seats   and are way more sensitive than a g1000 series lamiglas. If you want a lamiglas w/an exposed reel seat you have to buy one of the new certified pros or esprit series.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I, PERSONALLY have had pretty bad luck myself, and shy away from Lami. To their credit, I do not buy 200 dollar rods either... Best of luck to you.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
You used to be able to get the cheapy Cascade Pro Series from Bi-Mart with the exposed blank reel seat, but I think they're cutting costs now and going with solid. I think the new Trophy Series has them for about $79.00, otherwise its the Cert. Pro's or as WRO states, Rogues. But a Rogue today is not the same as a Rogue from three years ago. Look at the quality of the wraps and the # of guides. Unsure of the newer blanks they use, have heard reports that they are using a different graphite too.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
All Lamiglas Certified Pros have exposed blank reel seats. And compared to Loomis and Rogue both, they are better materials, better components and flat out awesome rods. At less than $200, consider them better than a GL3 at a $75-$100 discount. Rogue's are nice, but they're simply a second generation graphite. Try an X96JC and I'll bet you'll love it.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I have three Lamiglas rods and one of them is a certified pro. I know certified pro comes in an exposed seat, however I am not sure about the G-1000 series.
I have never had a problem with Lamiglas warranty. I broke a certified pro in three pieces and it was my fault. I took it up there and told them what happened. Two minutes later they came out with a new tip section and I was on my way at no charge.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I own loomis and lamiglas and have never had a problem with warrenty repair with either of them.Used to work for a local sporting goods store and did a lot of warrenty shipping for both of them, very few problems. As for rogue rods,I think it is easier to drive the 40 min to woodland than send the rod to rogue. Also watch loomis in the future to change,I heard they are taking shortcuts on production cost since the buyout.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I don't know what you are doing wrong but I've never had a problem with Lamiglas Rods or their warranty department. I send them my rods with return shipping and about a week or so later the rod is back. Do you fill out the warranty card and mail it in when you get a new rod?
I would strongly recomend a Certified Pro rod, I own 3 and wish I had more. They are light and strong. It's hard for me to use my 1000 series rods after using the Certified Pro.
I was not impressed with the Cascade Pro I bought and gave it to a friend, he loves it

Re: Lamiglass Questions
You`ll be happy with a Lami, just see for yourself, Ive tried everything. My Femwick HMX has a blank through grip and is a great rod, caught hundreds of fish, it is 8`9``, 8 to 20 lb test, Med. Med Hvy, around hundred dollars, awesome warranty service. But Lamiglas works well just caught another steelie on it a couple of hours ago. Good Luck, have fun

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I have some lamiglass rods and although they are great rods I still do most of my wintersteelhead fishing with my Berkley, I love the exposed rod on the handle and it makes a huge difference in feeling light bites, and its cheaper so I am not worried if I bang it around a little bit. I have also caught 20+ chrome chinook on it with no breakage.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
Check out the Lamiglas booth at the sportsman show this week and you'll get an idea of the people that work for them and get some hands on, on most of their rods. I have several Lami's including a 9 1/2 Esprit 6-10 I use for steelies and silvers and I just love this rod. I believe with Lami's you get a great value for your dollar.

Almost all of my BASS aresenal are Lamiglas. I love the 7' one piece rods for draggin' or Carolina rigging!
Warranty is awesome...no questions asked when you have problems! I think they service of the company says more for the product these days! Companies have to have excellent customer service know days with all these OPEN FORUMS! I bad post can really go along way!

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I’ve got three Lami’s and all three are great rods. And when I broke the tip section on one of them, I took it back to Woodland, told them what happened, and I was on my way again with a new tip section within minutes. No hassles. My Lami’s are all great rods, and the service I’ve received has been outstanding.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
Certified pro is the way to go!
Lamiglass is a class company with class people and has the history to assure you they will be around if you ever have a warranty issue. This can not be said for some rod factories. If I am going to put out big bucks for a rod I want to do it with a company I am confident will be around down the road. I do not have this confidence in all companies.

Re: Lamiglass Questions
I've had a Certified Pro for over 10 years and it is by far the best rod I have ever owned. The Lamiglas warranty is great. My fishing partner has a 1000 series rod that he broke the top section in 3 different pieces and they replaced it for free, this rod was 20 years old.
