Default Puget Sound Blackmouth

Are any of the Washington Ifishers going to be out after Blackmouth this weekend. If so where will you be? We will be in Elliot Bay and maybe Jeffhead.

It looks like the weather might cooperate after all and we might get to fish.

The north sound and the straights might be tough with SCA winds but the rest is looking good with the snow going away.

I might be out there Sunday. Jeff Head, Pt
Monroe, Manchester, one of those Maybee.

Hey thinker and outlaw,
How much snow did you guys get up there yesterday. The news shots I saw looked like there was quite a bit.

Blackmouth update, fished 4 hours this morning in Elliot Bay right in Seattle. 1st keeper in the boat in under an hour and after 20 - 25 shakers we got another keeper and called it a day. Just the way I wanted to start Salmon season, with a limit.

Snow, about 4 to 5 inches in Federal Way when I left for work. A neighbor said we edned up with a solid 6 inches. Its gone now though- at least off the roads. still have some on the lawn and driveway.

The worst about it is that I have one of those canopy systems that you make out of metal tubing (conduit). When it started raining that snow got so heavy and the thing just collapsed. The only thing holding one part of it up is the boat.

Good going Outlaw! ...

I have always wanted to catch a salmon out in view of the Space Needle. Hey Jeff, how about us giving that a go? Do you guys launch over on the West Seattle peninsula launch out toward Alki beach (the one in view of the Seattle skyline)? Geez Jeff, we could slip into Ivors at the waterfront for some clam chowder and deep fried halibut to give our arms a rest between all the shakers, rattlin', and rolling . Let's do it! - Steve

RT,

The launch by Alki is where we put in, the name of it is Armini (?). Then just slip across the bay and fish right in front of Ivors. On the days with all the shakers I really wish we had Scotty elecrics instead of manual ones. So far the season looks like it should be a good one. Even the shakers had bait comimg out of their mouths. Well off to get ready this morning we are hitting it again today.

Hey Steve,
Sounds cool to me!!! How bout' one day next weekend, I'm sure it's not like being on a busy river where you need to go mid-week. I'm sure we could hook ya up. I hear what your saying Outlaw about workouts and shakers, my riggers' are Scotty manuals too. Outlaw, I've never fished Elliot Bay before, I'm a Pt. Defiance kind o' guy. Would you mind sharing trolls, depths and gear combo's??? If not public on an e mail.
