Default New Year, New everything

Hey Everyone,

Me and my gal are looking for a new gig.

She and I want to start up a Thai Restaurant (hopefully in the Port Angeles/Townsend/Sequim) area up on the Olympic Penninsula.

We are going to need to nail down a good place to run the whle shooting match and get business financing lined up too.

Anyone from ifish ever lived up in that neck of the woods?

Anyone know anyone that specializes in Restaurant supply/ equipment procurement/ and any other aspects of this type of business?

We have a lot of homework to get started on, but we are hopeful to get things in order over the next 5 to 6 months so we can get started.

Let me know what you know, and thank you.

very tourist motivated areas...be prepared for the months when no tourists are there.

I used to spend alot of time out of port townsend and port angeles...most things are dead by 3pm, winters are brutal.

Good luck...keep us informed how things work out!!!

Try to buy as much used stuff as you can, if its stainless you can clean it up. Lots of used stuff out on the market, lots of people did'nt have a good plan. Good luck. I think if you love cooking as much as you do hunting duck's it should be a slam dunk for ya, just don't plan on doing much for the next three or four years. Once I get my store payed off I am going to start a plan for a resturaunt of my own. I owned a small one and worked at a few in the past , but I need to make sure I have a solid income before I start up a new venture. I really hope it goes well for you.

Sequim is booming, a lot of growth going on in that area. My folks have been up there about 10 years adn it has changed a fair amount in that time and continues to do so. A lot of big stores have moved in and there are housing developments going in pretty regular. Great area and we don't get up there near enough but it is a nice area and hopefuly you can do well if you head that way. Good luck.
