Saw James Brown in the Rose Gardens above the Zoo a few years back.

May have been the best concert I have ever seen. Beautiful view of Mt Hood, Duwap girls and the God Father of Soul in a full on red velvet & white fur cape.

Waaaaaaa ! get on my good foot and singing "Papas Got A Brand New Bag"

Guy had some issues but was a great entertainer!

Everyone's got/had issues... people like James being in the public's eye gets a spotlight put on them.

This is sad. Defiinitely had his own sound and it was funk... and it hasn't lost it's luster over the years.
