How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I used to use the Oregonlive Hunting Forum. How did you find the ifish hunting forum? Scroll up and answer the poll please.
About 3 years ago I was told (by rank and ehunter) about this ifish forum. I took a glance at ifish and thought "too much fishing talk as I didn't see the hunting section. Thanks for pointing it out to me again Rank.
I thought it would be good to learn how everyone found the ifish hunting forum.
My poll may not have all the options so perhaps a few could just post their story.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I was a frequent user of the Salty Dogs forum, and saw the hunting forum from that.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I was looking for my truck keys and wallet, and it was right there.
I don't ever recall not seeing it ? I am on the fishing side more than the hunting side, but I know I was looking here in the beginning.
It's funny, there is alot of bird talk (as well as big game), I have not shot a bird in 20 years, but I still read every thread. Its good stuff and seems to be a great group.
I still chase 4 legged stuff.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I was searching on google for the gutless elk quarting method, and it sent me to this site, and have been hooked ever since.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I found it when Jennie added it to the rather short list of boards that existed many moons ago. I was already hooked on ifish, so it only made sense to stay with the best!

I too love this forum I had the oppertunity to meet some new people, learn a lot of new things. I am always amazed at the educated and lively discussions. Thanks Jennie and Merry Christmas to all.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
Thanks to all those who took part in this poll. I noted that even when there were only 15 polled that the first choice was holding at over 50%.
Also I found it interesting that about 0% were informed of ifish while at a hunters club gathering.
As always other choices come to mind after a poll is over. Gun store,Shooting or trap range would have been other possible places to learn about ifish.
I think Oregonlive was a good forum except that it was not monitored for bad language and behavior.
Thanks to all who created and advance ifish.

I read about IFISH on BlacktailCountry.com. Thank you for the site, it suits me better being more local topics than BC.com.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I was living in VA and driving out every year to fish for Springers for a couple of months. One of the guys I had in the boat one day mentioned the website and I became a regular. After a couple of years of reading the threads I couldn't stand it anymore and moved back permanently in 2003.

Re: How Did You Find ifish forum. Poll
I was refered to this site by another Ifish member I have some other sites but this feels like home while I have not met every one on here I have met a few people. I like the people on here even though we don't all agree that makes it interesting and it is more local than some national hunting sites I have visited and I really like that.

:lurk: Read about it somewhere a few years ago. Maybe the Oregonian or some magazine. Checked it out briefly, started looking more seriously about a year ago.
