Default Sandy nate

Caught and released a nice native about 9-10 lbs. on the Sandy today.

Best part of it was my 8 year old daughter was with me to see it.

Took the fish on a pink rubber egg, orange yarn and a sand shrimp fished under a Thill float.

Thanks for the post blacktail. I flailed flies this morning. (Tried the slinky idea mentioned in the February-March 2001 STS. Learned it doesn't work that well with a 7 weight rod. I still felt good about what I was doing.) A bit breezy but overall nice day to be out.

I was on cal this weekend, so I swung flies at Dabney. Nothing. The water looked pretty decent though. Nice job, blacktail. Wish I could have seen it!

I drifted Dodge to Oxbow on Saturday. Myself and two others were swinging flies and we didn't touch a thing. Did hear of a couple from bank fisherman including a 37 incher on a jig.
