Sufix Questions Answered
I found this Company profile with my line shipment that I received today. I thought that is might answer a few questions that I have seen asked recently on IFISH.
Also, look for an opportunity to try out some Sufix line at the Portland Sportsman Show this week as Amerman Guide Service has some Sufix line give-aways to IFISH members compliments of Sufix.
Company Profile
Business Characteristics:
"Sufix U.S.A. Inc., located in High Point, North Carolina, is a manufacturer and distributes a very complete program of high quality trimmer heads, trimmer line, fishing line and sporting equipment. The total product line, with exception of sporting equipment, is manufactured by our mother company, Yoa-I Fabric, located in Taiwan, with another manufacture facility in China and one more exporting office in Hong Kong to form the Sufix Group. The Sufix Group is one of the largest monofilament manufacturers in the world and has been manufacturing and distributing professional tennis strings, fishing line and trimmer line for 30 years. Our monofilament productions average over 6 tons per day, with daily capacity exceeding 10 tons. Our sales and production capacity more than doubles every five years as we service customers in over 70 countries.
The Sufix Group plays an important role in the research, development and production of string for most of the tennis racquet manufacturers in the world. The same demand holds true with our fishing line and lawn and garden trimmer line. The popularity of our monofilament is due to the use of the finest grade of raw material, our advanced manufacturing technique and our constant attention to quality. Today Sufix Group is proud to announce our Taiwan facility passed ISO 9002 qualifications in 2002, and our China factory is an ISO 9002 registered in 1999. TQM (Total Quality Management" is not just another motto to Sufix, but an important signature we can give to every product we manufacture.
Our facility in Taiwan is 131,609 square feet and manufactures our fishing line. Our facility in China is 99,798 square feet and manufactures our trimmer heads and trimmer line with an exporting office in Hong Kong. All products are distributed out of our High Point office, which occupies a 35,000 square foot building. Yao-I Fabric Co., Ltd is committed to providing excellent, reliable products and services to our valued customers at affordable prices."

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
Sufix DNA is great line -- like the slight yellow color for visibility, the limp/no memory, small diameter, and good knot strength. Plus the price is right.

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
Grant,
I have been on the Sufix staff for about 3 years now and it is great line. Not many dealers out here yet, but very popular back east.
Peace

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
Joe Superfly, I owe you a thanks. You are the guy that hooked me up with Sufix two years ago at the Portland Sportsman show. I have been with them ever since. And I have been trying to get them in locals stores ever since. A great group of people and even better quality of line. Anyway, Thanks Joe. Grant

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
I use sufix or tuff on everything. Sufix is really good stuff. I dont use any mono on reels anymore, its sufix superior or DNA. I cant understand why its not more popular?

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
Can anyone out there give me a run down on differences between Suffix hi vis and P-line hi vis. I'm curious because I've been using P-line this season and am quite pleased with it and was wondering if I might be missing out by not using Suffix.Thanks.

Re: Sufix Questions Answered
The suffix I used was hi-vis yellow. It had low stretch, was extremely supple, and seemed to be quite abrasion resistant. I just bought a couple rolls (quite inexpensive) off eangler.com , and have yet to spool my other rods. I'll post my .02 after I fish it a little more. I did notice that while fishing last weekend in the low 20's it stayed pretty supple and cast well. I like that!
I got some 20 pound, that I'm gonna try on my springer rods. We'll see...
