Coastal Chromer's Still Coming

Hey Guy's @ Gal's there are still a few coming in the lower alsea. I got the fishing bug friday so I took my girlfriend down on the lower river to get some relief. Fished the break for a few minute's but I never touched a fish, so my girlfriend walk's to the spot I'm fishing on her first cast she hook's and land's a chrome bright hatchery hen about 8 lbs. Humble pie I guess, we fished there for about another hour then a fresh batch of fish must have came through . I hooked two of these fish both were hatchery fish, got up close and personal with them both but never put them on the bank. A seal abruptly put an end to our fun at the break on friday. Same thing happened on saturday morning except I caught and released a native hen , then I caught a hatchery buck about 10 lbs he sure tasted good last night for dinner. However that son of a B!T( seal pulled the same thing again. If you catch a seal can you keep him J.K. MIKIE.

I must have been in the same spot that you were at. My brother and I hooked 8 and landed 6. We saw the seal and he was swimming with a fish in his mouth. I couldn't make out what kind of fish it was. Probably a big native.
