If your going to the big Sportsman Show...be sure and stop by Dennis "The Salmon Master Guide Service" Stewart's booth #776 and meet Dennis and Jennie. Jennie will be at the show Saturday and Sunday along with Dennis.
It's a great show and I had a chance to visit with Jennie and Dennis. Then along comes RW (Kim) of "Clam Gulch Lodge" and a little later "Gonefishn Guide Service" Marty Petersen. Think Marty will be around on Saturday also and GI Joes at Delta Park. I'll bet there were many more IFishers around, be sure and stop by and say hi....there expecting you!!
I did manage to be a good boy this year. Only purchased a few trinkets costing less then $20. Could have easily been several hundred dollars. Now don't forget, bring the plastic if you go, don't want to be left in the cold.
The hot item I saw were some boat rods at Englund Marine. An incredible sturgeon/salmon/halibut 7' rod that can dead lift 20 lbs off the floor for $30. Now you may think a 20lb. cannon ball is no big deal. But just go ahead and string up 20 lbs on any rod you have and try to lift the weight. This takes a good deal of strenght to just lift the rod. Lots and lots of people walking around with these rods. Only one problem, they sold out. They are expecting 50 more for Saturday.
