Default Best plug rods ?

I'm going to be in the market for a couple steelhead plugs rods for fishing the Columbia in the summer as well as a couple plug rods for springers.
If your opinion, what is the best summer steelhead plug rods and what is the best springer plug rod?

Any input would be appreciated.

I'm leaning towards XCC 801 or 802 doe steelhead and possibly XCC 803 for springers. Or 801 for steelhead and 892 for springers.
I'm a big loomis guy but I do have a couple lamiglas rods I fish with.

Thanks everyone!!!

803 for CR steel and springers. A tad heavy for light trib plugging but you want CR rods right.

Why not just get 934's? They will do everything you want great and will also give you one of the best herring rods out there.

Agreed with the XCC 934's. Best of both worlds for plug fishing and trolling. You can't go wrong with the 803 either, but it is a little short for my liking on the big river.

The 981 imx is the one piece version with the same rating as the 1021 I also have the 9000 imx they are great rods and not just for plugs I use all of mine for about everything. but they make the plugs do their thing in the lightest of current. my buddy was using his plug rod next to my 1021 and the difference was night and day.

For steelhead I love my one piece Lami Hot Shot Composite for running small plugs and for salmon I prefer either my one piece Hot Shot Magnum or XCC 934 rods. All of these rods provide great action and will fulfill your needs in a plug rod IMHO.

According to one of my customers the best plug rods are not available. The blank used is the XCC 963, I extend them to 8'8" and are wrapped in a neon chartreuse and a neon orange with matching Matagi crackle reel seats. Lamiglas stopped making the XCC963 blank which is 8' 3 power one piece. I know of one last blank and its going to another customer not extended the future Black Mamba, will have black momba snake skin between the split grips and a matching Matagi crackle seat.

Or save some money and go Lamiglas Classic Glass CG86MHC or CG82DR.

Was your 801 the XCC or XCF. I almost prefer the older version of Lamiglas XCF's for plugs.
