Default Pro-Cure Saves the day!!!!!!!

Have been using a lot of Sturgeon Cocktail this winter and recently not having any luck Finding it at The usual places such as both Fishermans stores. I asked the guy at the tackle counter and he had no idea when they will get more!? I am a little stressed by this so I go home and pull the large size 8 OZ empty out of the garbage and dial the phone number to find out what is going on. I told them my story and asked if the had any and they say yes lots of it. I ask them how much if I buy six of the big bottles? Answer.....I don't know. I am figuring it can't be more than the $9.98 price at Fishermans so I tell them to ship me 6 big bottles and due to my circumstances and the size of the order I feel I am entitled to a very good price.
They showed up yesterday.....$12.95 plus freight of $7.95 for a total of $85.65.
$14.28 per bottle I am invested in this snake oil!

Now how can you beat that for customer service????????

Lets see..... $14.28 for Cocktail and $48.00 for 6 bags of Smelt.

Given this choice again I guess it's Smelly Jelly on the Smelt.

Bill

The reason the price was so high is because they don't want to undercut their dealers business. Most tackle companies operate in this fashion. They also use minimum order size and a qualifing order size to keep us little guys out. It is almost always cheaper to buy from their distributors for this reason even if you have to special order. Always ask before buying

Just another good reason to deal with Marie. This just furthers my complaint with fishermans marine. Their shelf stocking practices are lame and the prices are out of line. I hear the new store in tillamook is a good one. And seems they're competing with kimmels the prices will likely be better. We all built fishermans into what it is and now it seems as though they've forgotten the golden rule. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Hi Smiles...

I understand protecting the dealer. In this case the dealers failed and I was out of product. I think it was a poor way to treat a loyal customer that could not get service from a customer!

**** ..hehe
I understand the problem. The area that needed improvement was the fishermen store that didn't have a staff trained in customer service to handle your special request. (shouldn't have actually beeen a special request if they were on top of it) They should have offered to order them for you or at the very least told you when the next shipment would be ordered. I work for a major retailer and our focus is customer service and keeping our stock full on the shelves. The fishermen store lost a potential sale to a loyal customer. I don't think Pro cure was in the wrong. Perhaps you could ship 10 of the bottles back for a refund. If pro cure turned you down on this offer then they would be lack in their customer service.
