You might be eating alone the way it looks.

Does anybody have any fresh news on smelt in the cowlitz for tomorrow? Thinking about running up and playing net master tomorrow. Are the seals and seagulls working the river like a redneck on his sister?

I'm waiting for news too Bait.

I call that supplier in Astoria, Fergus something, at lunch. They want $6/lb and they only have 30 lbs left. I had hoped the price would be a little less than that but it is what it is. Is that a typical price?

As a side note I hear a former WDFW offcial is talking to NMFS about listing the smelt as an endangered species. We may need to find another bait.

$6.00 is too high! It's been $2.00 - $4.00 off the docks the last four years and the runs been improving. It should be going down not up. I'll be dipping mine.
