Banned in North Dakota...........
I was trying to put together a trip for Jr and I after Christmas to North Dakota. I have never been there and have always wanted to see it and see if we could shoot some pheasants.
There is a website similar to this one on NoDak hunting and Fishing. I did a little reading, called a couple of Game and Fish employees, a couple of lodge owners.
Narrowed it down to an area in SW NoDak. I asked a question on the Nodak web site if that would be a good place to start. I did not ask which field I would find my limit in or which fence post to turn by.
Jiminy Christmas. I violated a Nodak policy against internet scouting. I heard all about it. It is lucky I have a high self esteem.
I even got accused by a guy in the Panhandle of Idaho of being a recent transplant from California. How else could someone be so stupid to ask the question I asked. " Would New England, North Dakota be a good place to start. And is there any decent restaurants to eat in?" Now that I write it down.......... I ask questions like that all the time. Usually it is the restaurant that I want to know about first.
I have not had my feeling hurt in quite a while, but that California crack hurt.
I sure hope we never have a policy against internet scouting. I like to plug in those GPS coordinates where you guys are catching all the TUNA!!!! It sort of transports me in mind only to the fray....... I will get there next year weather willing....
Just giving you fair warning if you are contemplating a trip to Nodak, have a really thick skin.
