Pallets of PS3's at Hillsboro Costco
Three pallets just arrived about an hour ago at Hillsboro Costco and nobody knows about them. I think they were $699.99
Go get'em

Well I hope they get those pallets cleaned off quick so I can burn them(the pallets) up for fuel.

Re: Pallets of PS3's at Hillsboro Costco
I saw them there last night as well. Two employees stationed there to make sure no one took more than 1. I was surprised they werent' flying off the palletts. Maybe no one knew. Maybe the console game units have finally reached their price limit.

I met the Sony gal the other night and we talked a little about the system. She services the stores the carry the games and the game systems. She also said don't count on the price coming down any time soon and don't count on it coming down much when it does.

$700 sounds like alot of new fishing gear to me!
I bought my PS2 secondhand, paid $75 bucks for it and it works great. Im not a hard core gamer by any means, but it kills some time when its pouring outside and the fish arent biting!

Re: Pallets of PS3's at Hillsboro Costco
If you don't want to by a game system for $700 then don't buy one. That doesn't seem very hard to understand. What is hard to understand is why anybody would rain on somebody else's parade. Does it make you feel better somehow? Sheesh. There are people that want one and have the money to pay for one. So what? It's Christmas people. Lighten up.

Re: Pallets of PS3's at Hillsboro Costco
actually these new video game systems are more like full blown computers now than they are video game consols like the old nintendo's. SOme of them have 60 gig HDs and they all are dvd players and other stuff.

Re: Pallets of PS3's at Hillsboro Costco
the ps 3 is also a blue ray player, price a blue ray player and see what they cost without the gaming ability. The last one i saw was arround 800.00 just for a blue ray player, if you look at it that way it's not a bad buy.

Some might say the same thing about sitting in front of a $700 computer reading an internet fishing site everyday.

I do appologize, by agreeing with johndeergreen i wasn't implyng that anyone was stupid for buying one or purposly trying to hurt anyones feelings, it was just an opinion, I mean shoot some of you Chevy and Dodge guys might say the same thing about my 2005 F150 i bought last year for what seemed like too much money but i bought it anyways and enjoy it very much, So again i Do appologize.
Happy Holidays to all

It's okay, John Deere could've went about it a little better. He's right though, it will be worth about $150 bucks in 4 years, but some poeple can't wait that long
I won't be buying one until the price comes down around $400, and they actually have some games out.

Cars do the same thing...yet we all buy them. So do boats. So do all of our other electronic purchases.

They will probably hold there value better then home PC's.
I played it the other day for the first time and really loved the graphics, but not enough to replace my PS2.

Mighty nice of you to give us the Heads Up. I know some folks that are pulling there hair out trying to find these.
Me, I'll still be making slinky's this week as opposed to playing playstation, but I can see how some folks get super excited about it.
