Usually, after fall seasons are over, I get sucked back into my fishing obsession. Winter steelhead is starting to creep into my head. The problem gets to be that soon the only thing I’ll want to do when I have a chance to get out doors is fish. So I don’t really end up doing much off season scouting till late summer. And all of my intentions to go year round shooting starts to fade.

I NEED TO FIGHT IT OFF! I NEED TO BE FOCUSED ON SCOUTING AND SHOOTING FOR NEXT FALL!

I've recently taken up duck hunting to satisfy my need for a longer hunting season after archery closes in september.

If you don't currently hunt waterfowl, you should try it, its a blast.

Well, for me there's the endless supply photo tags in my pocket!

Then there's always the fun of following lion tracks in fresh snow.

Then comes shed hunting season(not that it ever ends).

Of course you know I'm a big time "turkaholic"(feathered elk).

Elk hunting? That's a blip on the radar screen along ways off.

Yeah, I have one of those also. That’s what I don't get. How do some of you guys get to the out doors so much without getting a divorce? My wife is more then understanding about hunting, but she for some reason needs me to be with her some weekends? So that’s what I spend most of the off season doing.

Predators, Gobblers, and the occasional steelhead when bordom reaches it's all time high....Yotes will get me through the next couple months, and then the search for sheds begin.....
