Default Good Grousin Afternoon

If for no other reason than to remind Mikey the season is still open on the Westside.

Spent the afternoon out walking roads in the foothills of the Cascades, picking mushrooms and flushing birds. Saw 4 ruffs, brought back two. Good day to be in Oregon.

YUM YUM! Don't you just love those birds? It's been too long since I have been after those. Good job.

I'm in predator mode now, snowshoes and the like but now that the grouse season is over I'm jumping bird after bird after bird.......... but no cat tracks.....

Cool piks and congrats on a great hunt. My last ruffed I shot is skinned and curing/drying in the shed, neat bird with full Winter plummage. I'll post a pik when it is finished.

Chantrells are a good combo with mushroom/grouse soup!

Thanks for the reminder
