Default TAKING THE KIDS FOR GATORS

New to ifish so here goes. Looking for some help for this sunday. Taking the kids out to catch and release some gators and wondering some general areas to go. I am new to gator fishing but do have lots of smelt in the freezer. Looking for the kids to have fun and catch lots of shakers and maybe a keeper size.

RiverMaster...

First off...Welcome to Ifish and I feel honored to provide you with your 1st reply to your 1st post...It would also be proper for you to give us a fish story as well...

The best place to go Gator Fishing right now is in the Multnomah Channel or the Big Willie (Willamette)...Your choice of bait is correct as smelt has been working very well...

Go get some scent if you have yet to do it as well...(Smelly Jelly Sturgeon Feast, Craw/Anise, Pro-Cures Sturgeon Cocktale) to name a few...

Go look for other boats...There may be a lack of boats on Sunday's since it is closed to retention but that could make it very productive...

The Columbia is still too cold in my opinion but has to be getting better sooner than later...

Once again, welcome to Ifish and if you have any more questions, just ask and I will help you as much as I can...

Good Luck & Tight Lines...
