That sounds like a good deal. $2.50 per day is almost reasonable when I hear boat in the sentence.

but wait.... then I wouldnt get to experience the long lines at the boat ramp, the guy ahead of me not turning his head lights off, the guy ahead of him not checking his battery, the guy ahead of him changing spark plugs on the ramp so his tub will run, the guy ahead of him after sitting in line for 20 minutes deciding it is time to load the poles and tackle when he hits the ramp, the total lack of parking at Milwaukie boat ramp (the mayor is trying to remove boat ramp all together), No dock to tie up while you park on McLoughlin about 3 blocks away. How would it be Springer fishing without the nuances that make it springer fishing?

Thanks for the info but I will stick with the combat boat launching, where it is first come first served. It is how I was broke in and how I will start my day off on the wrong foot. Besides it is a long run in the dark should I decide to try it at Oregon City for a day.

And last but not least I really enjoy watching some doughball doing Z's down the boat ramp in front of me, pulling forward at least 10 times to just straighten it out one more time.

B.O.E., you forgot the rash of busted truck windows over at Willamette park last year. It seems the local denizens were not amused by the boat trailers parked in front of thier houses when the boat ramp parking overflowed onto the street.

The bend is your friend!

This post is intened for all the guys who'll be fighting the crowds at the boat ramps now that the first springer at Sellwood has been let out of the bag. For those of you who would rather be fishing instead fighting the ramp traffic this thread is for you. See you on the water...Fishhead
