Why would you like to see that outcome?

USC was going to represent the Pac 10 in the BCS Championship game and every school in the PAC 10 would have benefited from it ($$$$$$).

Yes, sorry but a #2 team to lose to OSU and UCLA, way over rated, but I think a lot of times teams in the PAC 10 are. UO was definately way over rated at 10, as was WSU wherever they were around 20 or so...

Not quite so sure about the toughtest conference... Not this year anyway... Everyone stinks in the PAC 10 this year, just at different times!

I dislike Pete Caroll but as a Pac 10 fan it would have been nice to be represented in the title game.

When UW got close to beating USC, that made it obvious to me that USC was overrated.

I think you have to say the SEC is the toughest conference. At least the toughest to go undefeated, and the most highly ranked teams. Don't forget that Tennessee absolutely trounced California. It was something like 35 to 0 at the end of the first half.

PAC10 did have a very competitive conference playing against each other. I think that means we can look forward to good games for the next few years although it probably means no team will dominate.

But, we can settle it...have a playoff. I just hope we don't see Big10's #1 and #2 for the National Championship. That would definitely be a back slide for the the BCS National Championship.

Unfortunately, having a highly competitive conference makes it less likely to go undefeated and have a chance to play for the National Championship.

Seems to me that if they were supposed to be in the National Championship game they would have won the game...end of debate. Money isn't the only thing in the world.. JMO

Excuse me, I am very near sighted when it comes to football. I only went to one Oregon game in my life and they got creamed by the Trojans. I feel stupid now that you guys made all these good points. I root for the underdog and they won this game. To take a quote form Troutski.....JMHO!

Don't even start... If you look nationally, there is a HIGH correlation between big bucks and winning teams.

Yeah, so millions of dollars wont be coming to the PAC 10, but that money never does anything to lower tuition, or upgrade computer labs. Remember, it's college?

tOSU and Michigan both had their close calls against teams they should have clobbered........but they won. SC didn't.

Sure, it would have been nice to see a Pac 10 team in the title game, but if you can't beat fUCLA, what are you going to do against tOSU?

This validates the Pac-10 as a top notch conference and it just proves why this BCS thing is a crock of bull and why things need to be setteled on the field of play.

What will validate the Pac 10 as being strong or top notch is if the Pac 10 does well in the up coming bowl games. Otherwise most will feel it's a weak conference and rightly so. I hope that the Pac 10 wins all their games.

I don't think USC was overrated at the end of the year. They were at the beginning. Today their offense stunk. Way to many penalties (9) and it's pretty hard to make up long yardage situations. Defense played well.

For the USC haters out there just think about this; they have only 4 seniors on their starting teams. One on defense.

This is so fun and entertaining to sit back and watch.....all of you guys going back and forth.

I have worn cardinal and gold since I was little and learning about football. I still hold my head high on a season like this one....we were supposed to be rebuilding and it turned into a "reloading" season. 10 and 2 and a Rose Bowl? Woe is me. Each year since I can remember our goal has been to win the conference and Romp in the Roses. NC's are nice, but you can't get em' every year. Last time I looked in Heritage Hall we've got 11 of em' next to all of our Heismans.

We've been taking down the bruins for some time now, and they showed up today for sure. Not sure if they "won" but we definately "lost". Not our normal game. Congrats to the boys in babyblue.

So, bandwagon SC haters unite, enjoy it...lifelong Trojan here. Looking forward to a great game at the "grandaddy of them all" the Rose Bowl.
