Old post "Sandy river access" couldn\'t find it, have comments
I was just listening to Lars Larson and he was talking about people having to pay for access to hiking trails in our national forests, whether this was right or not. This guy calls in and says he owns a large track of land on the Sandy river at Oxbow and that he has it all posted and is constantly kicking people off due to the abuse (mainly the littering)they do to his property, specifically fisherman in the winter and hikers in the summer. I wonder if this is the same guy that owns the land you have to cross to get to the pipeline/girlscout holes. We should try and contact this guy and talk to him about working out some kind of solution we can use to allow access. Maybe a phone number you can call to leave your license number to your vehicle or something. I have fished those two holes a few times and really liked that section of river, to bad the few have spoiled it again for the many......any comments?
