Re: carry premits
From what I have read is Washington does not honor oregon permits and oregon will not honor washington permits.
If you are fishing or going to or from fishing you do not need a carry permit just bring it with you rp

Everything you ever wanted to know about concealed carry ---
http://www.packing.org/
See state CCW tab at top of page. To answer your question specifically, Oregon honors no out-of-state permits, though many states honor Oregon's (14 in total).
And yes, a person residing outside of Oregon can obtain an Oregon carry permit. I am a Washington resident and have permits for both states. You merely need to take the NRA course (simple) and then apply in an Oregon jurisdiction that is friendly to gun owners. It ain't gonna happen in Multnomah County, but Columbia County's sheriff, for example, is very accomodating. Just take your NRA certificate of course completion to the Columbia County Sheriff's office in St. Helens and you will get a permit. Call ahead for the proper hours, etc. Nice people.
With Oregon and Washington permits you are recognized in 20 states, including Oregon and Washington. See the site for details.

Re: carry premits
The following is the link at the MCSO that has all the info you need.
I have it on good authority that a Washingtonian can obtain an Oregon CCP.

Re: carry premits
If you are a Washington resident and got your Oregon CCP in Multnomah County then things have changed a lot. And for the better. That is great for other Washingtonians trying to get it. Several of us tried for many years without success.
I owe you a hat, for sure. 7and 3/4. Got it.

Re: carry premits
Wow, I've had mine now for 12-13 years or so.... I think it was easier to get than the Washington Permit!
And, they send you a reminder to renew before it expires. Clark County does nothing to remind you.....

Re: carry premits
If you plan on traveling I would suggest looking at the Utah permit. It is valid in a lot of states (with the exception of Oregon). Between an Oregon and Utah permit you can carry in almost every state.
