Default Hydropower

In this time of Crisis, want to bet wether the fish or people are going to get the water? Enviromentalist / Protesters have shut down new power plants, nucular, coal fired, hydro, and to some degree Wind and Solarfor 10+ years..now California is demanding it's drug of choice...now it's not going to be popular to stand in the way of power production...next will be the sale of the Columbia River water it's self to California...Don't Californicate Oregon...One last thought...let's trade California gallon for gallon water for petrol...

Hey Steve. I think you have a good idea, maybe they would go for trading say produce, pound for pound . Hey I just thought of a bonus, they can have all of their seal's back for free. That's the deal of course they would have to skin those stinky son's a bitches themselves. SEE YA MIKIE.

The BPA is doing a lot of good right now. The deal with California sends kilowatts south during "peaking" periods and requires double kilowatts back within 24 hours plus additional power later in the season. This allows the BPA to increase the water stored behind the dams for use later in the season. The big problem for the northwest is the lack of rain, so what's going on now will benefit outmigrating smolts when the BPA needs to run a lot of water down the river.

With the impending drought, we are all going to be leaning on each other soon enough. "California" does not need water, LA does, but their water agency is private not a State run venture. LA are the blood suckers of CA, they want Columbia water! Northern CA is just like OR and WA as far as climate, terrain and availability of water. It sucks big that LA brings CA such a bad rap throughout the rest of the country. CA should become two states then No CA. could sell water to So. CA. or just let them die of thirst.
