My first archery kill!
Well after many years of rifle hunting I decited it was time to give archery a try, this past Monday I took my first deer with a bow! He's a decent 4x4 with great eye guards.
I dont think I will ever pick up a gun again after this week! After many days of hunting everything came together and took him with a 40 yard shot from the ground with my Switchback and he only went about 45 yards before dropping.
This is by far the most fun I have ever had hunting, archery is a blast and I owe a special thanks to my buddy Eric for his help and taking me to his "honey hole" and then on top of all that helping me with the 2 mile pack out! Here is a pick after we got back to town....after the other pics get developed I will post them.

Amazing first bow kill, or rifle for that matter. Some incredible bucks being taken by ifishers this year. i am glad you were able to join them. Congratulations on your first bow kill, I can't wait for mine!!!

You guys suck! Just kidding. I bet I know a couple of guys who wished they got to go with you. Thats a good friend that will share his hole with you. And there was honey in it to boot! I have seen some honey myself. Just cant seal the deal. Good job Rob(and guide)!

I was going to swing over and take a look at that thing but I figured it was over at Eric's. Making it real hard to decide on next year. Might have to pull the bow out, blow the dust off and start slinging some arrows. I figured you were going to get one. You plan on coming back to work anytime soon???? Later Bro.
