Going fishing in the morning... Not much luck for us on Big and Gnat Creeks, so we thought we'd head South. However, we're not sure where the best spots are on the Nehalem to fish from shore. Any suggestions? The one time we've visited the river we stayed at the Campground near the Falls, so we're not exactly experts on the area. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
Also, Has anyone tried the Necanicum recently? Any luck or tips? Thanks!
Fished the Necanicum hard last week. Only saw 3 fish for an awful lot of guys. Two of them I wouldn't have fed my smoker with and one was pretty nice. All the fish were low. There's no water. Pray for rain
Thanks Penn. Maybe I should do a "Rain-dance"... ar-ar-ar... sorry, couldn't resist. Wish I had the power to make it sunny on the days I have to haul firewood or hay, and a nice deluge every Thursday and Friday (OK, when I'm Queen of the World I'll throw in Mondays for the folks lucky enough to fish during the week!)
We're off (more than just a little! ) With luck we'll do more than throw lures at water today. Looks like we'll head for the Nehalem. Have a great day's fishing!
