It's Been a Good Day
Over the last few days, I've had some pretty intense stuff to deal with. I woke up a little late this AM - for what, I couldn't tell you. It just felt like I slept too long and got a later start on my day that I had hoped to. As most of you know, I've been unemployed for about a month. I've been looking - not real aggressively, but making sure I threw my hat in the ring for those opportunities that would be attractive enough to draw me out of the temptation to prolong my slothful bliss. Well, needless to say, the days of semi-retirement look like they are coming to an abrupt halt. I got a call this morning from a national firm that I've been speaking with. They made me a pretty lucrative offer over the phone. I asked for some adjustments to the package and they nodded at everything. They'll be putting pen to paper tomorrow. So it looks like I'll be rejoining the ranks of the professional - many days of tie-induced neck strain are in my future.
Then.....I got word that my truck was done. My wife was in an accident a while back and my Centurion took a rather harsh thump on the nose. I'm still waiting for a lower valance and fog light assemblies, but for the most part, she's done.
Before:
After:
CCR in Boring did a pretty decent job of patching her back together. Thank goodness there was no major frame damage. One tough truck!!
All in all, a pretty good day, I'd say.

Glad to see everything worked itself out, Kerry. Sounds like the only thing you're missing that day was killing a limit of ducks

Re: It's Been a Good Day
Yup - a limit of ducks, a limit of geese, two chrome nook hens and boat plugged with TUNA! would have rounded the day out pretty well - I don't want much, do I?

Re: It's Been a Good Day
Hmmph.
Yesterday was my payday, and my check gets deposited by EFT. So I went out to run errands, but found out at the grocery store when I went to run my card, that there was some sort of hold on my account. so after 3 hours of phone calls to BoA customer service and alot of frustration, they finally, after blaming the glitch on "inclement weather," figure out to transfer $$$$ over to my savings to bypass the glitch so I can go to the bank and get some of my money.
Then after that I go to back up and leave the bank parkinglot, and my back up sensors on my truck fritz out and now they just go "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep" So now its off to the dealer to cash in my warranty.
And I was out of beer when I got home.

Two vehicles tried to occupy the same space at the same time. My guess is that a traffic control device failed to adequately warn the drivers of said vehicles.

Re: It's Been a Good Day
You have to wear a tie and go to work?! That's a good day?! Well, at least you can afford to get that dental work done now. Truck looks great, hope no one was hurt.
