Kelly Point

Anybody been to Kelly Pt. the last couple days? What workes, and where?

Casteal, the Kelly Point/Frenchman's Bar area
has been as good as anywhere, but only fair sturgeon fishing. I think the Oregon side is a little better than the Washington side in this area. Try going downstream about a mile or 2 below Kelly Point and anchor off the Oregon side in around 40 ft. to 50 ft. deep water. Smelt is still the best bait. Try wrapping a sandshrimp onto a smelt. If you don't get bites in a half hour or so move around to other spots. Watch for other boater's action. Good luck. - RT
