She was a perfect 10...maybe even 11!
I went down to the Wilson this morning and dipped a line. I had worked a nice drift with my jigs and didn't have any takers so I thought I'd try a Sunrise Okie. Two casts later a fish slammed it hard. I could see the fish was bright and it was also pretty good size. After a fiesty battle, I eased in to the shallows an absolutely mint bright, sea-lice ridden Native hen. She was a full 10 pounds and a picture of beauty. It was Nature at her best. A quick flick of her tail and she disapeared.
The river is in great shape and is getting clearer. There were a lot of people up and down the river with several shuttles at the Guide shop.
